Dark Wolf's Howl is a fast paced, urban fantasy adventure featuring complex characters and a unique, modern fantasy setting.

The story is set in a modern city, part of a larger kingdom. The kingdom’s population is mostly made of elves, with a minority group of humans. Most of the government and power resides in elven hands, leading to some disgruntlement from the humans living in the kingdom. This leads to a young woman, angry at her own mistreatment, joining with a criminal group to steal from the royal family. This mistake leads to the unleashing of an ancient enemy. An army of medieval warriors intent on the destruction of the elven civilization. The government, not knowing the true extent of the threat, tries to keep the danger a secret, leading to the attempted assassination of a local college professor.  The professor, having no idea what is going on, joins with his rescuer, a mercurial agent who refused the order to kill, and embarks on an adventure to find out the truth. Meanwhile, the young woman responsible for the threat, is captured by the enemy, who see her as their liberator. There, she learns the value of forgiveness, and the complex nature of the conflict. In the end, as her government tries to end the threat and restore the magic keeping the peace, the young woman realizes that she is the only one who can undo her mistake, but is she willing to sacrifice herself to end the violence?
